ZELMA STRONG
OKLAHOMA CITY-Graveside services for Zelma Ruth Benton Strong, 83, of Oklahoma City are 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Moore City Cemetery in Moore, OK, Rev. Linda Snelling will officiate.
Mrs. Strong died Monday, July 29, 2013 at her son's home in Ada. She was born February 22, 1930 in Alva, Oklahoma to Robert Lee and Pearl Highfill Benton. She graduated from Alva High School in 1947.
She married Causby Ernest Strong, Jr. on October 9, 1948 in Roswell, New Mexico. Mrs. Strong was employed as a Bookkeeper with Miller Norris Company in Oklahoma City until her retirement. She was a member of Cherokee Hills Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, a member of the D.A. R. (Daughters of the American Revolution) and the Pioneers.
Survivors include her husband, Causby Strong, of the home; a daughter, Laurice Jones and her husband Chuck of Las Vegas, Nevada; a son, Roger Strong and his wife Debbie of Ada; a grandson, Jeremy Strong and his wife Mika of Allen; a granddaughter, Robin Anderson and her husband Aaron of Ada; and great grandchildren, Gehrig and Abbey Strong of Allen, and Hailey Baber and Paislee Anderson of Ada.
Bearers will be Chuck Jones, Jeremy Strong, Gehrig Strong, Roger Strong and Aaron Anderson.
