Zella Gaines

Services for Zella Zane Wallace Gaines, 73, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 17, 2024 at the Chickasaw Community Center, Rev. Hazel Wallace will officiate. Burial will follow at Dixon Chapel Cemetery near Stratford. A Wake service will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Gaines passed away Sunday, May 12, 2024 at her home. She was born July 19, 1950 near Stratford, OK to Lemme and Nora Smith Wallace.

Mrs. Gaines was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, William of the home; two sons, William Ray Gaines, Jr. and wife Barbara and Wendall Ray Gaines; a daughter, Wilberta Rae Cully and husband Michael; sister, Lavern Walker; eight grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, seven sisters, two brothers, and a daughter-in-law Kimbrely Gaines.

Bearers are her grandsons and nephews, William Gaines, III, Timothy Gaines, Dalton Gaines, Christopher Cully, Stephen Cully, Merle Stick, Jr., Monty Stick, Jason Wallace, and Thomas Clark.  Honorary bearers are the Oklahoma Twisters men's softball team and Down and Dirty men's and women's softball team.
