WYLIE PITTS

ADA-Services for Wylie Ozell Pitts, 65, Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Cross Pointe Church, Rev. Sam Garner will officiate. Burial will follow at the family cemetery east of Ada.

Mr. Pitts died Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at a local hospital. He was born March 20, 1944 at Comanche, Oklahoma to Wiley O. and Sarah Price Pitts. He graduated from Loco, Oklahoma high school in 1962 and moved to Ada in 1973 from Del City. He attended East Central University.

He married Debbie Adams in 1994. Mr. Pitts joined the Oklahoma Highway Patrol in 1971 and retired in 1999. From 2002 until the present, he was the Director of Security for the Chickasaw Enterprises.

Survivors include his wife Debbie Pitts, of the home; two daughters, Jill Williamson and husband Brad, Ada, and Julie Tillar, Canyon, TX; two sons, Michael Pitts and wife Jennie, Farmington, AR, and David Adams, Stillwater; six grandchildren, Josh, Chase, Hayley, Devin, Jaden, and Sarah; one great granddaughter, Aizlen; four brothers, Verdell Pitts and wife Suzie, Duncan, Kenneth Pitts and wife Cleda, Comanche, David Pitts and wife Vickie, Duncan, and Emzla Pitts and wife Tracy, Comanche; and four sisters, Dorothy Whitfield and husband Jack, Comanche, Lena Scott and husband Charles, Merced, CA, Francine Anderlohr, Comanche, and Janice Walker and husband Joe, Comanche.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father and a brother-in-law, Fred Anderlohr.

Bearers will be the Oklahoma Highway Patrol Honor Guard. Honorary bearers will be the Chickasaw Enterprises Security Officers.
