Wyatt
Brown
June 3, 2004 – November 27, 2021
Memorial services for Wyatt Ezekiel Brown, 17, of Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 2, 2021 at H2O Church. Toby Ross, Bill Nelson and Kyle Mott will officiate.
On the morning of November 27, 2021, our "Everyday Guy" left us to be with Jesus.
Wyatt was born on June 3, 2004, to Tyson and Christy Brown. Wyatt had numerous loves in life. His passions were intense and that intensity brought him great joy. Every day you could find him scouting the next basketball opponent, deep dive researching his next tennis shoe purchase, talking endlessly about hunting and fishing with his dad, listening to faith podcasts, and constantly leaving trails of gummy shark wrappers around the house.
Wyatt was the best of what brothers have to offer. He fought hard but loved his siblings even harder. He was Winston and Zoey's number one fan, always pushing them to be tough, work harder, and grind out every single shot, especially when it came to tennis. He wanted to see their utmost success right up to the point of being annoying. He would remind them that their mindset alone could alter their circumstances.
Wyatt loved spending time with his family. His dad was his buddy. He soaked in every moment he could spend with him. They spent many days hunting, fishing, shooting basketballs, and watching ridiculous Fail Army videos on the computer (which annoyed his mother because she just didn't understand how anyone could laugh at people hurting themselves). If Wyatt could choose anyone in the world to be with, it would have been his dad. Wyatt admired his mother. He never missed the opportunity to let her know if her shoe game was drippin'. He wrote her many letters asking for advice or expressing his love for her. He would share her advice given to him with many of his friends through talks and letters. Though he'd never let her in on the secret, her endless love and wisdom was at the root of who he was striving to become.
Wyatt adored his friends. From the basketball team, to the tennis team, to the students he fist bumped in the hallway - Wyatt loved them hard. He didn't always express it with words, but his heart wanted his classmates to know they had a place to belong. Wyatt's view of friendship changed when he started attending Kanakuk three years ago. For the first time in his young life, he felt free to be fully himself. The beauty of Wyatt and his love of friendship didn't stop with his peers. His closest friends were old enough to be his parents, ranging from bosses and coaches to great uncles. He always was an old soul.
He is survived by his mother and father, Tyson and Christy, and brother and sister, Winston and Zoey. Grandparents, Jim and Donna Chancellor and Larry and Rhonda Brown. Uncles and aunts, Chad and Lorinda Chancellor and Jared and Rana Davis. Cousins, Bryston and Langdon Gallegos, Lexie Chancellor, Cooper Chancellor, Emerson Davis, and Easton Davis.
In lieu of flowers, please honor Wyatt by sending other kids to the place that changed his life, Kanakuk Kamp at kaakamps.org .
