WAYNE HENRY

STONEWALL-Services for Winford Wayne Henry, 72 of Stonewall are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Richard Dickerson will officiate. Burial will follow at Allen Cemetery.

Mr. Henry died Sunday, March 16, 2014 at his home. He was born October 3, 1941 in Pontotoc, Oklahoma to Chasten Elmo and Velma Marie Chambers Henry. He attended Lula grade school and Tupelo High School.

He married Romona Kay Davis on March 8, 1964 in Antlers, Oklahoma. Mr. Henry was a glass bottle blower for Brockway Glass Company in Ada, retiring after 30 years of service. He was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed deer hunting, wolf hunting and gardening. Mr. Henry served in the U. S. Army as a medic in Germany.

Survivors include his wife, Kay Henry, of the home; a son, Charles Henry and his wife Connie of Ada; a daughter, Anna Sherfield and her husband Tracy of Seminole; four grandchildren, Cameron Sherfield and Callie Sherfield, both of Seminole, and Colton Henry and Christian Henry, both of Ada; two sisters, Patsy Christian and her husband Jim of Stonewall, and Debbie Pitts of Lula; a brother, Phillip Henry and wife Tina of Lula; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Lee Henry; and an infant sister, Catherine Henry.

Bearers will be Josh Christian, Chisum Henry, Chat Henry, Kenny Fortner, Charley Davis and David Allen Adams. Honorary bearers will be Colton Henry, Christian Henry, Cameron Sherfield, Chester Henry, Jesse Henry, Tony Littrell and Caleb Christian.
