RUTH PRATER
STONEWALL-Services for Wilma Ruth Prater, 85, Stonewall, are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Tony Folger will officiate. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Stonewall.
Mrs. Prater died Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at a local hospital. She was born September 20, 1924 at Tupelo, Oklahoma to Marvin and Alice Hawley Foreman. She graduated from Stonewall High School.
She married Jack Garrison. He preceded her in death in 1970. She later married John Prater. He died in 1979. Mrs. Prater was a farmer and rancher in the Harden City area and a member of the Fittstown Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Gantt and husband Virgil, Stonewall; two grandsons, Mark Gantt, Oklahoma City, and Greg Gantt and wife Amy, Tishomingo; two great grandsons, Aaron Gantt, Fittstown and Corbin Gantt, Ada; two great great grandchildren; a sister, Wanda June Jones, Ada; two aunts, Daisy Blackbird, Oklahoma City, and Wanda Montgomery, Oklahoma City; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Juanita Anderson of Stonewall.
Bearers will be Mark Gantt, Greg Gantt, Aaron Gantt, Corbin Gantt, Solomon Gantt and Jerry Winters.
