Wilma Kist
ADA-Services for Wilma Louise Kist, 96, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Bob Houghton will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mrs. Kist died Thursday, April 16, 2015, at a local nursing home. She was born March 4, 1919, in McClain County, Oklahoma, to Joe Henry and Anna Faye Ferguson Morse. She and her family moved to Ada from McClain County. She attended Ada schools. She attended a business college in Santa Ana, CA, and an Art School in Costa Mesa, CA.
She married Walter Lake Wilson in 1936. She later married Stanley Kist in 1967. He preceded her in death on August 24, 1984. Mrs. Kist owned and operated Wilson's Cleaners in Pauls Valley. She then managed several restaurants in Santa Ana, CA, and later, was the floor manager for Certron Corp. in Anaheim, CA. She was a member of College Heights Missionary Baptist Church in Ada.
Survivors include a niece, Anna Weinschenck of Tulsa; nephews, Gene Sanders of Gold Canyon, AZ, Phil and Howard Turner of California; niece-in-law, Pat Sanders of Lindsay; several great- nieces and nephews; as well as numerous friends including special friends, Linda Turner, Ashlen Ballagh, Daylene Payne, Beverly Brady and Melanie Halsted.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and three sisters, Edna Pryor, Arvilla Sanders and Anna Turner; and two brothers, Coyt and Joe Dean Morse.
