JEAN CRANFORD SPEERS
CANEY-Services for Wilma Jean Cranford Speers, 91, Caney, are 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Richard Dickerson will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Speers died Thursday, April 7, 2011 at an Atoka hospital. She was born November 9, 1919 in Sulphur, Oklahoma to Joel Columbus and Eula Lee Berry VanCleave.
She married Orvill Cranford on November 14, 1937. He preceded her in death on October 18, 1993. She later married William Lee "W.L." Speers on September 4, 1997. Mrs. Speers was a homemaker and a member of the Free Will Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband, W. L. Speers, of the home; four daughters, Wanda Blaylock and her husband S. L., Stonewall, Pat Holmes, Stonewall, Edna Thompson and her husband Carl, Fittstown, and Mary Stone and her husband Tim, Stonewall; four sons, James Cranford, Seminole, Weldon Cranford and his wife Barbara, Ada, Robert D. Cranford and his wife Ella, Ada, and Dewayne Cranford and his wife Barbie, Stonewall; 21 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren; and many other loving relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Orvill Cranford; and a granddaughter, Dana Cranford.
Bearers will be her grandsons, Luke Stone, Zeb Stone, Jason Deaton, Bryan Schutte, Rick Cranford and Lee Cranford. Honorary bearers will be grandsons, Daryl Engledow, Robert Cranford, Troy Engledow, David Engledow and Bobby Ray Engledow.
