Obituary

Willie Seals, Jr.

Services for Willie Seals, Jr., 83, of Ada are 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Reaper Baptist Church, Rev. F. D. Cochran will officiate. Burial will follow at Elm Flat Cemetery.

Willie "Pinky" Seals Jr was born on September 18, 1941 to Willie Seals Sr. & Johnnie Mae (Brown) Seals.  He entered his final resting place on May 4, 2025.   Mr. Seals spent most of his life in Ada and then later moved to Paul's Valley, Oklahoma where he met Bobbie Jean Graham.  With this union he fathered 3 girls, Misty, Eunice, & Yoyo.   While in Paul's Valley, Mr. Seals worked for the city for over 40 years, where he later retired.

In 2003 he married his current wife, Helen Franklin, and joined the Bethlehem Church as a candidate for baptism.  While no children were produced in this union, there were always children in the home, specifically Octavia, Jael, Isaiah and Johnathan.  Those 4 children grew up & appreciated Pinky as being the only father figure in their lives.  Eventually, as the years passed, he took in his five grandchildren Latia (Tia), Santasia (Tae Tae), Santanna (Tanna), Solicia (Soli), & Treavon (Trea) as well as his Great granddaughter Mackenzie (Kenzie).  He and his wife Helen became an amazing influence & loved all their grandchildren and great grandchildren, as they both became a major part of the children's lives.

Pinky was a true jokester—always ready with a laugh—and never met a stranger.  His warmth, humor, and easy connection with everyone made the world a little brighter.  He had a gift for making everyone feel seen, welcomed, and at ease.  Pinky was easily known for making a lasting impression wherever he went.

He leaves to mourn his memory, his wife Helen Seals (of the home), his two daughters Misty Graham (Ada) & Eunice Black (OKC), one stepson Matthew (Lawanna) Franklin (Duncan, OK). His 7 grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren, his oldest niece Betty Weaver, and a host of additional nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Yolanda "Yoyo" Graham; his parents Willie Seals Sr. and Johnnie Mae (Brown); two sisters Gussie McKinzie & Bertha Seals; six brothers Raymond Seals, Walter Seals, Calvin Seals, Eli Seals, Curtis Seals, Douglas Seals.  Willie "Pinky" Seals Jr. was the last child living between his parents and his infectious spirit will be missed by all that knew him.
