Services for Willie Ross Hayes, 85, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 27, 2024 at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Pastor Chad Large will officiate. Burial will follow at Pontotoc Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mr. Hayes passed away Sunday, June 23, 2024 at an Ada nursing home. He was born December 3, 1938 at Olney, Oklahoma to John H. and Mary Ruby Burrow Hayes. He graduated from Pontotoc High School and then served two years in the U. S. Army as a Medic.

He married Dorothy Hawthorne March 29, 1961 in Wilburton, OK. Mr. Hayes was a Superintendent with Boldt Construction until his retirement.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy, of the home; two daughters, Carri Ann Storts and husband Doug of Ada and Shelli Worcester and husband Matthew of Ada; a sister, Katie Winton and husband Billy of Washington, OK; five grandchildren, Nathan Storts, Keeton Ross Storts, Trent Storts, Ashli Dennis and Matison Wright; eight great-grandchildren, Luke Storts, Andrew Storts, Emma Storts, Nixon Storts, Nolin Storts, Noles Storts, Parker Kent Dennis and Peyton Ann Dennis.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Eugene Hayes, Faral Hayes, Johnny Hayes, Robert Hayes, David Hayes, Arthur Hayes and Loyd Hayes; a sister, Mary Dunn; and a granddaughter, Britani Ann Worcester.

Bearers will be Keeton Storts, Trent Storts, Nathan Storts, Logan Dennis, Kenneth Wright and Johnny Hayes.
