BILL KINDRICK
ADA-Services for Willie John "Bill" Kindrick, 77, Ada, are 4 p.m. Saturday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Raymond Brady officiating. Burial will follow at East Hill Cemetery at Roff. The Ft. Sill Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery.
Mr. Kindrick died April 1, 2011, at his home. He was born Aug. 12, 1933, to Roy Gumby and Ruby Mae Raper Kindrick in Ada. He attended Ada schools and was retired from the U.S. Army, where he served from 1957 to 1977. He later retired with the City of Ada where he was the assistant director of public works. Mr. Kindrick was an ordained Baptist minister and a member of First Baptist Church.
He and Opal Dean Whetstone were married Nov. 30, 1952. She preceded him in death Nov. 7, 2008.
Survivors include three sons, Mark Kindrick and Sheila, Blue Springs, MO, Keith Kindrick and Jerrianna, Holdenville, and Roy Kindrick, Ada; a daughter, Julia Kindrick, Lawton; grandchildren, Nicholas Kindrick, Christina Chambers, Jonathan Kindrick, James Kindrick, Desiree Kindrick, Kathryn Kindrick, Alex Kindrick, Jacob Sutter and Ethan Kindrick; great-grandchildren, Micah Chambers, Caleb Kindrick and Hannah Chambers; and one brother, Doug Kindrick and wife Lolita Kindrick, Ada.
Bearers are Kevin Kindrick, David Kindrick, Thane Hudson, Harold Kinstner, Jeremi Correll and Keith Teel.
