PATE HUDSON

FRISCO, TEXAS-Services for William Louis "Pate" Hudson, 95, Frisco, Texas, formerly of Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Tim Richardson will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. Tuesday until service time.

Mr. Hudson died Friday, March 12, 2010 at a Plano, Texas hospital. He was born June 27, 1914 at Woodville, Oklahoma to Eldridge and Lieu Hasty Hudson. He and his family moved to Ada from Woodville and he attended Irving Grade School and Ada High School.

He married Margarette Willoughby on May 29, 1937. She preceded him in death on September 26, 2004 at Frisco, Texas. Mr. Hudson was employed with Hazel-Atlas/Continental/Brockway Glass Company in Ada for 48 years. He retired in June 1979. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ada and a founding member of the Ada Hobos Camping Club.

Survivors include his daughter, Carrie Lou Wood and husband Eddie, Frisco, TX; two grandsons, Brian Wood, Frisco, and Chris Wood and wife Paula, Austin, TX; three great-grandsons, Hudson Wood, Frisco, Taylor Wood, Frisco and Ryan Wood, Austin, TX; and a great-granddaughter, Hannah Wood, Austin, TX.

Bearers will be Riley Young, Floyd Gurley, Tom Jackson, Joe Murray, Gary Haggard and Ron Milner. Honorary bearers will be Albert Pierce, Robert Tollison and Eddy Ballard.
