RAY MEDDLER

ADA-Services for William Ray Meddler, 81, Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Daniel Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow at Lamar Cemetery near Lamar in Hughes County.

Mr. Meddler died Saturday, December 27, 2008 at his home. He was born September 16, 1927 at Calvin, Oklahoma to John Samuel and Dora Tripp Meddler. He lived most of his life in Hughes County and moved to Ada in the late 1970's from Holdenville.

He married Glynell White on September 23, 1967 at Holdenville, Oklahoma. Mr. Meddler was a farmer and a member of the First United Pentecostal Holiness Church in Ada.

Survivors include his wife, Glynell Meddler, of the home; a son, David Meddler Jordan; a step-daughter, Darlene Miller, of the home; grandchildren, Jack Aaron Jordan, Adam Warren Jordan, Brayden Cole Jordan, Sydney Lynne Jordan, Kimberly Cole and husband Darren, Ft. Worth, Texas, and Billy Ray Meddler, Ft. Worth, Texas; seven great grandchildren; a sister, Bertha Beach, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Ray Abraham "Ray Buck"Meddler, and a sister, Ruby Beach.

Bearers will be Chris Barnett, Jason Barnett, Richard Geyer, Bill Richmond, Tom Sellers, and Shane Sellers. Honorary bearers will be David Grigg, Robert Martinez, Marvin Nickell and James Starr.
