ADA-Services for William Eugene "Bill" Holman 73, of Ada, are 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Steve Wilburn will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mr. Holman died Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at an Ada hospital. He was born December 15, 1940 in Ada, Oklahoma to J. W. and Estelle Stone Holman. He attended Irving grade school, Ada Jr. High School and graduated from Fitzhugh High School in 1959.
He married Linda Kay Mitchusson on May 16, 1959. Mr. Holman was a Lab Technician for Ideal Cement, later Holcim, retiring after 35 years of service. Mr. Holman was of the Baptist faith and had served in the National Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Kay Holman, of the home; a son, Todd Holman and wife Deborah of Jenks; a brother, Kay Trent Holman and wife Donna of Ada; a sister, Joan Beck, Ada; and two grandchildren, Kassidy Holman and Max Holman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Chad Alan Holman, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Wendell and Juanita Mitchusson.
Bearers will be Harvey Wilson, Glen Newcombe, Danny James, Gene Boiles and Jerry Yarberry, Jr.
The family says those who wish may make memorials to the First Baptist Church of Fitzhugh, P. O. Box 177, Fitzhugh, OK 74843.
