Willene Frances Hobson went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, June 1, 2018, in Tulsa at the Saint Simeon's Heathcare Center.

Willene was born October 21, 1934 in Hitchita, Oklahoma to Melvin and Jewell Hill Smith. She graduated from Purcell High School and married Bobby Ray Hobson, Sr. a week after graduation on May 24, 1952. Their daughter, Teresa, was born on their first wedding anniversary on May 24, 1953, and their son, Bobby Jr. was born 17 months later on October 20, 1954. She was a stay-at-home mom involved in her children's activities until they were in Jr. High. She then worked for S & Q Clothiers for a short time before going to work for the First National Bank, now Vision Bank, for 30 years. Willene started out at the bank working as the Receptionist. She later worked as a Teller, Loan Assistant, Personnel Officer and retired as an Assistant Vice-President.

She and Bob traveled in their motor home for a few years before she went back to work part-time at Vision Bank until she was 80 years old. She loved her bank family and enjoyed time spent with all of her friends there. She was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church and taught Sunday School to several age groups over the years. Her greatest joys were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She never missed an opportunity to proudly show pictures to everyone she met.

Willene is survived by her husband of 66 years, Bob, of Saint Simeon's Healthcare Center; her daughter, Teresa Mayhue and husband Charlie of Ada; a grandson, Mason Mayhue and wife Amy of Ada; granddaughter, Megan Sontag and husband Ritchie of Tulsa; granddaughter, Whitney Winslow and husband Andrew of Tulsa; grandson, Brent Hobson and wife Rachel of Kennesaw, GA; granddaughter, Bayli-Jayne Hobson of Tulsa; her great-grandchildren, Barrett Sontag, Will Sontag, Reed Sontag, Lincoln Winslow, Claire Winslow and Vincent Hobson; and a sister, Jean Richey of Arlington, TX.

Willene was preceded in death by her son, Bobby Hobson; parents, Jewell and Melvin Smith; sister, Faye Jeffries; and brother, Darrell Smith.

The family says those who wish may make memorials to the Ada Cougars Care Fund, (a fund created to assist students in the Ada School System with eyeglasses, clothing or other needs), c/o Ada City Schools, P. O. Box 1359, Ada, OK 74821.
