WILCIE TOLLIVER

FITZHUGH-Services for Wilcie Eva Tolliver, 95, of Fitzhugh were held at 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Fitzhugh Baptist Church, Rev. Steve Wilburn officiated. Burial followed at East Hill Cemetery in Roff.

Mrs. Tolliver died Saturday, July 13, 2013 at her home. She was born May 18, 1918 at Fitzhugh, Oklahoma to Oscar L. and Nina Maude Jones Standridge. She attended Fitzhugh grade school and graduated from Fitzhugh High School.

She married Kidd Tolliver on July 2, 1938. He preceded her in death on September 22, 1971 in Ada. Mrs. Tolliver was a homemaker and was a longtime member of the Fitzhugh Baptist Church since 1930. She taught in the nursery for 17 years and served as the church clerk for 25 years. Mrs. Tolliver served as secretary of the Mother's Sunday School Class and she also worked on the Pontotoc County Election Board for many years.

Survivors include a daughter, Carol Stewart and her husband Earl of Fitzhugh; a son, Bob Tolliver of Fitzhugh; four grandchildren, Karen Hall and husband Kent of Ravenna, TX, Dana Smith and husband Todd of Corn, OK, Kidd Tolliver and wife Luisa of Roff, and Susan Stewart of Konawa; and 8 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kidd Tolliver; a son, Dub Tolliver; and a step-son, Rus Tolliver.

Bearers will be Todd Smith, Kent Hall, Kidd Tolliver, Kolton Hall, Chandler Smith and Mitch Priest. Honorary bearers will be Chance Tolliver and Carter Todd Smith.
