WILBURN SMITH
ADA-Services for Wilburn Lee Smith, 70, Ada, are 10 a.m. Tuesday at Liberty Auditorium of Pre-Paid Legal Services, Pastor Mickey Keith will officiate. Burial will follow at Holdenville Cemetery.
Mr. Smith died Friday, May 27, 2011, at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born Sept. 19, 1940, to William and Tommie Bacchus Smith at Lamar, Oklahoma. He attended Holdenville schools and came to the Ada area in 2000 from Norman. He had been employed with Pre-Paid Legal Services since Jan. 1, 1980. He had held numerous positions with Pre-Paid Legal Services including president and, most recently, National Marketing Director. He was loved by thousands of Pre-Paid Legal Services' associates and home office staff. Mr. Smith has traveled across the nation and Canada helping and motivating Pre-Paid Legal Services' associates to achieve financial freedom and success. He was a long-time active member of Life Community Church. His hobbies included fishing, gardening, riding John Deere tractors and spending quality time with family and friends.
He and Carol Clinton were married in 1989.
Survivors include his wife, Carol, of the home; two daughters, Samantha Bunyard and husband William Alan, Ada, and Julie Kinney and husband Bill, Oklahoma City; one son, Mark Alan Smith and wife Amy, Ada; a sister, Barbara Sue Ramsey and husband Roy, Holdenville; five grandchildren, Zachariah Smith, Elijah Smith, Rose Smith, Connor Kinney and Katelyn Kinney; one nephew, Roland Ramsey; two nieces, Regina Brooks and Rene' Ramsey; and special friend, Gizmo Bunyard.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Tommie Smith; and two brothers, Bobby Smith and Ronald Dean Smith.
