ADA-Services for Wayne Irwin Byrd, 68, of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Toby Willoughby will officiate. Burial will follow at Center Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mr. Byrd died Sunday, February 22, 2015 at his home. He was born November 14, 1946 in Oklahoma City to Floyd and Toby Newby Byrd. He attended Vanoss schools.
He married Linda Kay Ellis on April 1, 1966. She preceded him in death on September 25, 2012. Mr. Byrd was an Oil Company Drilling Superintendent for Sandridge Energy. He served in the National Guard.
Survivors include a daughter, Tammie Bean and her husband Bill of Ada; a grandson, Sean Bean of Ada; his mother, Toby Lirette of Tulsa; one brother, Floyd Byrd, Jr. and his wife Martha of Ada; and a sister, Patricia Greenwood of Ada.
Bearers will be Ronnie Anglin, Bill Bean, Cole Sliger, Bo Ellis, Randy Dearman and Joe Johnson.
