WARREN KELSO
ADA-Services for Warren Kelso, 79, Ada are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Life Community Church 330 East 14th in Ada, Revs. Kent Kelso and Mickey Keith will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The Chickasaw Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery.
Mr. Kelso died Saturday, September 18, 2010 at the Veterans Hospital in Oklahoma City. He was born June 4, 1931 at Roff, Oklahoma to Clyde and Ora Elizabeth Stout Kelso. He lived in this area all his life and attended Roff schools.
He married Elwanda Sutton on January 20, 1956. Mr. Kelso was employed with Ideal Cement, now Holcim Inc. for 34 ½ years. He retired in 1993. He attended the First Free Will Baptist Church and later attended the Life Community Church. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was also a member of the National Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Elwanda Kelso, of the home; two sons, Kent Kelso and wife Sandy, Ada, and Clark Kelso and wife Amanda, Ada; a daughter, Carla Rhoads and husband Kevin, Purcell; five grandchildren, Leslie Paddock and husband Brad, Joy McCune and husband Tray, Mallory Rhoads, Lauren Melvin and husband Tim, and Alyssa Rhoads; three great grandchildren, Madison Paddock, Chloe Paddock and Cambyll McCune; and a nephew, Robert Kelso Jr. and wife Ginger, Norman.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Kelso.
Bearers will be James Sutton, Greg King, Tim Melvin, Tray McCune, Brad Paddock, and Eric Sutton. Honorary bearers will be Bryant Horning and Jimmy Koonce.
