Wanda L. Brown

Services for Wanda Louise Brown, 84, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Mitch Williams will officiate. Burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery.

Mrs. Brown passed away Monday, April 8, 2019 at a local nursing home. She was born May 28, 1934 at Vamoosa to Grady Franklin and Pearl Beddo Graham. She grew up in the Vamoosa area.

She married Luther C. Brown of Byng on May 28, 1951. He preceded her in death August 22, 2017 at Ada. Mrs. Brown spent her adult life as a homemaker, avid reader and church volunteer. She and the children always moved wherever Luther's oilfield work took him. She worked for two years as a daycare manager, which provided some of the seed money for the oil wells that sustained them in their later years. She also kept books for L. C. Brown Co. and Byng Assembly of God Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a granddaughter, Jennifer Campbell; and brothers, Warren, Billie and "Tuck" Graham.

She is survived by her sister, Jean Litterell; daughter, June Murphy and husband Lanny; son, David Brown and wife Susie; and son, Larry Brown and wife Eileen; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She tried to do a good deed for someone each day, we ask her friends to do the same in her honor.

Bearers will be John Murphy, Jim Brown, Matt Feezel, Darren Evans, Jeff Krebbs and Rusty Hudson.
