WALTER MAYER, III
ALLEN-Services for Walter Joseph Mayer, III, 41, Allen, are 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mr. Mayer died Wednesday, October 15, 2008 near Ada, Oklahoma. He was born February 5, 1967 at Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Walter Joseph Mayer Jr., and Lana Sue Templeton Mayer. He graduated from Stonewall High School in 1985 and attended Oklahoma State University.
He married Sherree Wolfe Bise October 26, 2002 at Hartsville, Tennessee. Mr. Mayer was employed in construction and later managed the Ada True Value Store from October 2003 until March 2008.
Survivors include his wife, Sherree Mayer, of the home; step-son, Lance Corporal Dustin Bise, Twenty-nine Palms, CA; step-daughter, Shannon Bise, Joelton, TN; his mother, Lana Wyche and husband Jim, Afton, OK; a brother, Michael David Mayer and wife Jayna, and niece, Olivia, Tulsa; two step-sisters, Jenna Wolf, Edmond, and Julie Fechner, Alva; step-grandsons, Gage and Darin; step-granddaughter, Ashley; an aunt, Margaret Barton, Ada; cousins, Sara Carlsson and husband Nick, Ada, and Elizabeth Barton, Washington, D.C.
He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Mayer, Jr. on April 9, 2004.
Bearers will be Gene Kellogg, Leon White, Larry Gregory, Sean Sanders, Jim Herndon, Don Kellogg, Nicholas Carlsson, and Bob Crist.
