Wade Pennington

Karl "Wade" Pennington (1956-2025), passed away October 27th, surrounded by his family in the comfort of his home.

Wade graduated from Vanoss High School in 1975 and went on to become self-employed and operated several successful businesses.  He loved cars and racing, so he pursued a career that allowed him to enjoy life through his work.  He married his wife, Sharon, in 1981, and they raised their two daughters, Kelly and Kasey.  Wade was known for his big heart and constant smile, and he loved his family more than anything.  He was a businessman with the gift of thinking outside the box to tackle any challenge.  His employees and race team were an extension of his family.

Wade is survived by his wife, Sharon, of 44 years, his children Kelly Pennington and husband Stan of Ada, Kasey Williams and husband Collin of Ada, and his two granddaughters Karlee and Jovee Brundidge.

He was preceded in death by his parents, DN and Clariece Pennington, and his brother Harrell Pennington.

A celebration of life will be held October 30, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Southwest Church of Christ in Ada.  The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Wade lived life to the fullest.  His smile, his grit, and the love for his family and friends will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

Bearers will be Collin Williams, Keith Youngblood, Donnie Pennington, Brett York, Leland Perkins, and Travis Cannon.  Honorary bearers will be Rodney Pennington, Sam Pennington, Kirk Pope, Kevin Cantwell, Stan Pollard, Mike Latimer, Van Reed, Jr., Dameon Rutherford, Lloyd Muck, Tony Muck, and Jacob Halstead.
