ADA-Services for Voncille Petty, 80, Ada, are 1 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Baptist Church, Dr. Rusty Fuller and Dalton Young officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Petty died Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at a Coalgate nursing center. She was born Aug. 15, 1932, to Dee and Lorene Carroll Billings at Gene Autry. She attended school in Dickson and attended business school in Ardmore. Her family moved to the Francis area in 1962 from Dickson. She had been employed as an office manager with Montgomery Ward in Ardmore and Ada. She retired from J.C. Penney Company in Ada. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
She and Clifford Eugene "Gene" Petty were married May 1, 1948, at Gainesville, Texas. He died March 10, 2004.
Survivors include a son, Ron Petty and wife Janet, Harrah; two daughters, Becky Anderson and husband Bill, Boswell, and Pauletta Williams and husband Lewis, Stuart; two sisters, JoAnn Reed and Faye Kendall, both of Irving, Texas; one brother, Carrol Billings, Fairfield, California; grandchildren, Rick Hood and wife Loretta, Gregory Hood and wife Candy, Tara Miller, Kyle Petty and wife Christa, Tawnya Gee and husband Donnie, T.J. Rice and wife April, and Kimberly Petty-Sullivan; several step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister Kay Gerber and grandson Eric Petty.
Bearers are grandsons Ricky Hood, Greg Hood, T.J. Rice, Kyle Petty, Colton Petty and Donnie Gee. Honorary bearers are great-grandsons Mikey Hood, Josh Hood, Rooter Lee, Kyler Gee, Cason Gee, Dustin Hood and Blade Hood.
