VIRGINIA ALLMAN
ADA-Services for Virginia Belle Yerby Allman, 72, Ada, are 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Frank Brewer will officiate. Burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery.
Mrs. Allman died Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at her home. She was born April 6, 1939 in Sasakwa, Oklahoma to William Bunyan "Bill" and Bernice Scroggins Yerby. She attended Vamoosa schools and graduated from Vamoosa High School. She also attended Draughn's School of Business.
She married Robert Milton "Bob" Allman on June 6, 1959. He preceded her in death on April 20, 2004. Mrs. Allman was bookkeeper for Mistletoe Express in Ada for five years, and later she was the bookkeeper for Yerby's Modern Appliance for 28 years. She was a member of Southwest Church of Christ.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan Allman Shofner, of the home; a son, Michael James Allman and his wife Kandi of Ada; three brothers, John Yerby of Houston, Missouri, Bill Yerby and his wife Trigg of Ada, and Jerry D. Yerby; and three grandchildren, Robert Michael Allman, Kristina Nicole Allman, and James M. "Trey" Shofner, III.
