Vicky Elaine Gay Holt was born on September 8, 1949 in Lebanon, MO to Homer A (Sonny) and Nona Maxine Deems Gay. She passed away peacefully on April 26, 2019 at her home. She grew up in Phillipsburg, MO and graduated from Conway High School. At the age of 12 she was baptized and was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. She attended college at Southwest Baptist University in MO and the University of Texas at Arlington. She married the love of her life, Wallace Dean Holt in 1970 and moved to Texas.

Vicky was very talented in many things. She was an excellent cook, making everyone's birthday dinners a special occasion. She loved to sew and crochet and made items for many people. She had a beautiful alto voice which she used in singing congregationally at church as well as in an a cappella quartet, BASIC. She also wrote many beautiful gospel songs. Her love of music started from a very early age and she passed along that love to her children and grandchildren. She loved helping others and always made it a point to no matter what she had going on.

She worked many jobs through the years, and had an amazing impact on anyone she met. She was a school teacher and then became a principal for a small private school in Dallas. She worked for Southwest Airlines until 2004, when she retired so she could move to Oklahoma and be closer to family. She loved her job at Southwest and carried many wonderful memories from her time there. Once moving to OK, she began a job at Legal Shield and worked there for 10 years, retiring in 2014. She made some good friends working there and they loved her dearly.

The thing she was most proud of though was her family. She was an amazing wife, mother, Mema, daughter, sister and friend. She would beam with pride when anyone would mention her kids and grandchildren. She raised her children to love the Lord and also had a hand in teaching her grandchildren to carry that same love. Vicky had a wonderful sense of humor and an infectious laugh. She could crack jokes at anytime and did so up until the end.

Vicky is survived by her husband, Dean Holt, of the home, son Brandon Holt and his wife Deborah of Ada, daughter Betsy Little and her husband Danny of Ada, and grandchildren Hudson and Shelby Little of Ada, her mother Maxine Gum and Step-Father Bill of Ada, brother Greg Gay and his wife Cassie of Edmond, OK. Also, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Vicky was preceded in death by her Father, Homer Ambrose (Sonny) Gay Jr.
