Vickie Dianne Gray Cartwright

Vickie Cartwright gained her angel wings on October 27, 2026 surrounded by her family after a lengthy illness.

On October 16, 1950 she was welcomed by her father and mother Vernon Edward and Cloreta Isaac’s Gray and three older brothers as a long awaited welcome little girl to their family.

She attended Vanoss Schools and graduated in the class of 1968. She attended Cosmetology school and worked in Ada at Mr. Genes. On January 19, 1981 she married the love of her life Billy Wayne Cartwright in Gainesville, Texas and they were married 45 years and 9 months. Vickie worked as a Reservation Agent and Customer Service Representative at Southwest Airlines in Oklahoma City for 21 years before retiring in 2016.

Vickie and Bill traveled extensively with family taking many road trips and cruises making memories of a lifetime.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Cartwright, brothers Rodney Gray (Janice) and Mike Gray and sister-in-law Nova Gray, daughter Debby Cartwright, Granddaughters, Tori Killan, SteVona Long (Robert), and Jadyn Gilbert, Grandson Destry Yeargan (Shelby) and 4 Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by her 6 nieces and 3 nephews whom she loved dearly and 4 precious cats.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother, brother, Steve Gray, sister-in-law, Linda Gray, and one great nephew.

Services will be at the Oil Center Pentecostal Church on Friday October 30, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. with Toby Willoughby officiating and interment will be at McGee Cemetery. Pallbearers will be nephews Clark Gray, Mark Gray, Ryan Gray, Matthew Marx, Jeff Elliott and Jeremy Paden.

A visitation with the family will be Thursday October 29th from 6:00 to 8:00 at Criswell Funeral Home in Ada.
