VERNIE HENLEY
ADA-Services for Vernie Louise Henley, 95, of Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. David Sutton will officiate. Burial will follow at East Hill Cemetery near Roff.
Mrs. Henley died Sunday, January 27, 2013 at an Ada nursing center. She was born February 5, 1917 at Roff, Oklahoma to John Boyd and Mattie Belt Eager. She attended grade school in the Sunshine Community.
She married Kerney Henley in 1953. He preceded her in death in 1966 in California. Mrs. Henley returned to this area in 1967 from California. She was a nurse's aide at Valley View Regional Hospital for about 6 years and later a cashier at T. G. & Y. Mrs. Henley was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include two nephews, Gary Eager and wife Linda, Roff, and Larry Eager and wife Sherry, Roff; two nieces, Judy Yoesting and husband Dwayne, Ada, and Carolyn Phillips and husband David, Allen; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Eager, Roff.
