VERNIE FINDLEY

UNION VALLEY-Services for Vernie Leon Findley, Sr., 54, Union Valley are 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Stonewall First Baptist Church, Rev. Richard Dickerson will officiate. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Stonewall.

Mr. Findley died Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born September 7, 1955 at Walnut Ridge, Arkansas to William Pleas and Allie May Manus Findley. He attended grade school at Pocohantas, Arkansas and attended high school in St. Louis, Missouri.

He married Tonya Don Taylor on December 11, 1996. Mr. Findley was a self-employed mechanic and a member of the Stonewall First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Tonya Taylor, of the home; his mother, Allie May Findley, Paragould, AR; his children, Tina Findley Williams and husband Victor, Jonesboro, AR, Vernie Findley, Jr. and wife Amber, Tonopah, AZ, James Findley, Sr. and wife Emily, Paragould, AR, Jennifer Findley Goforth and husband Donald, Cahokia, IL, Destiny Findley, Granite City, IL, Casey Findley Pennington and husband Josh, Granite City, IL, Joshua Findley, Baldwin, IL, and Chase Findley, Trace Findley, Allie May Findley and Clayton Findley, all of Union Valley, OK; a brother, Bill Findley, Augusta, GA; two sisters, Senoa Green, Paragould, AR, and Norma Warner, Paragould, AR; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Bearers will be Johnnie Smith, Roy Rogers, Royce Sliger, Michael Roberts, Pat Wells, and George Bolen.
