Joyce Sweet
Benton, AR-Verna "Joyce" Sweet, 86 of Benton, AR, entered into the Joy of The Lord on August 16, 2016. She was born May 10, 1930 in Oklahoma City to the late Edward Louis and Mildred Marie Philpot Sweet. Joyce worked for Pacific Bell Telephone Company for over 20 years and at one time she was also a foster parent. She loved people and especially her pets. She handed out Bibles and encouraged people wherever she could, saying lots of prayers in their behalf. Joyce was of the Church of God faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Joann Walston.
Joyce is survived by brothers, Bill, Freddy and Jerry Sweet, Bobby Sweet (Tawanna), Ernie Sweet (Renee), Kenny Sweet (Pat) and Ricky Sweet (Kathy), sisters, Sharon Sweet, Donna Nichols, Patsy Kennedy, Brenda Beaty, Norma Prince (Sonny), Billy Sweet, Janie Marrs, Linda Newberry, Vicky Gold (Bill), De Anna Sweet and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Criswell Funeral Home on Sunday, 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. with graveside services, 10:00 a.m. on Monday at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Family Comments: Joyce's desire was that when she could no longer be of service to the Lord on earth, that he would take her home. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to your church of choice.
