Verman Stonecipher

Graveside services for Verman Van Stonecipher, 95, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 28, 2025, at Byrds Prairie Cemetery in Tupelo; Earl Blankenship will officiate.

Mr. Stonecipher passed away Thursday, April 24, 2025, at a local hospital.  He was born June 21, 1929, in Arkansas to Allen Clinton Stonecipher and Viola Johnson Stonecipher.

Mr. Stonecipher served in the Army during the Korean Conflict.  He worked at East Central University until his retirement.

Survivors include his two sons, Wayne Stonecipher and Roy Stonecipher and his wife Jeannie; one daughter, Joyce Horton and her husband James; five grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene; his parents; son, Roger Stonecipher; brothers, Harland Stonecipher, Earnest Doyin Stonecipher, and L.C. Stonecipher; and sister, Vircle Thetford.
