Services for Vera Ellen Wheeler, 101, of Ada are 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Kenneth Butler will officiate. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery at Seminole.
Mrs. Wheeler passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at an Ada nursing home. She was born August 28, 1914 in Oklahoma to Louis and Dana Tillie Holderfield. She attended Seminole schools and graduated from Seminole High School
She married Hershel S. Wheeler April 3, 1948. He preceded her in death July 12, 1984. Mrs. Wheeler had been a cosmetologist, beautician and a homemaker.
Survivors include two grandsons, Mark Simpkins and wife Stacy of Ada and Bret Simpkins and wife Corrine of Richland, WA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Simpkins; and her siblings, Esta Villines, Archie Holderfield, Faye Messmore, Verna Morse, Leon Holderfield and Juanita Martz.
