Services for Velma Ann Linder, 86, of Ada are 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 11, 2021 at the Blue Baptist Church, Pastor Michael Gross will officiate. Burial will follow at Tishomingo Cemetery. Family and friends may call at Criswell Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 10, 2021.

Mrs. Linder passed away Monday, June 7, 2021 at a local hospital. She was born January 20, 1935 in Connerville, OK to George Warren and Odessa Katherine (Coffee) Winkler. She was an only child. She graduated from Pontotoc School in 1952 and she later obtained an associate's degree from a junior college. She loved basketball, whether it was playing it herself in high school, watching her kids and later grandkids play, or watching the OKC Thunder play.

She married Fred Linder on January 17, 1954. He preceded her in death on September 27, 2001. Mrs. Linder was a beauty operator as well as a wife & mother to their 3 children while her husband served his country in the Air Force before taking a job with Ford Motor Company. They made their lasting home in Connerville, Oklahoma.

Survivors include a son, Michael Linder and wife Stacy; two daughters, Patricia Knight and husband Randy, and Tammy Buhrow; 6 grandchildren (Jason Knight, Jonathon Linder, Preston Linder, Brayden Linder, Chris Stegall, and Nathan Buhrow) and 10 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two granddaughters, Quinn Daniel Frye and Kara Michelle Stegall.
