VELDA DUFFY
ADA-Services for Velda May Duffy, 70, Ada, are 12:00 noon Thursday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Bob Graves will officiate. Burial will follow at Lightning Ridge Cemetery.
Mrs. Duffy died Monday, November 1, 2010 at a local hospital. She was born October 30, 1940 at Grass Valley, California to Lester and Pearl Marie Upton Brown. She and her family moved to this area in 1947 from California.
She married Thomas Dewey Duffy, Jr. on November 29, 1958 in Ada. He preceded her in death on March 28, 1986. Mrs. Duffy was a homemaker and a member of A Place New Hope Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Survivors include a son, Tony T. Duffy and wife Misty, Ada.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry Brown and Elmer Brown; three sisters, Christine Brown, Alene Upton and Margaret Roberts; and a grandson, Thomas Scott Duffy on January 12, 2008.
Bearers will be Scott Spivey and Raymond Brown.
