VEDA MAGAR

SHAWNEE-Graveside services for Veda Estelle Magar, of Shawnee formerly of Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2014 at McGee Cemetery in Stratford, Oklahoma, the Rev. Mike McCauley will officiate.

Mrs. Magar died March 25, 2014 at Sterling House Assistance Living in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She was born September 20, 1920 at Parish Chapel to Elbert and Leafy Holland Tucker.

She attended Summers Chapel School.

She married Delbert B. "Mac" Magar on July 1, 1941 at Lawton, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death September 1997.

Survivors include her nephew/caregivers Carl and Donna Roberts of Shawnee, their four daughters, Leann and Scott Thomas of Jones, OK; Vickie and Brian Bates of Edmond; Dianna and Nicki Peltier II of Shawnee; and Tanya and David French of Shawnee; their nine grandchildren, Taylor Day, Dalton Thomas, Devin Crouch, Nicki Peltier III, Kyle Peltier, Jeffery Peltier, Luke Peltier, Brittany Freeman, and Luke French; a beloved brother and sister-in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Elbert and Leafy Tucker, four brothers, R.D. "Shorty" Tucker, Eldon Roy "Sam" Tucker, Don Tucker, and Earl Tucker, and her beloved husband of 56 years Delbert B. Magar.
