VAUGHN KIRBY

WYNNEWOOD-Services for Vaughn Ell Kirby, 82, Wynnewood, are 1:00 p.m. Friday at the First United Pentecostal Church in Wynnewood, Rev. Mike Boswell will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Ada. The Chickasaw Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery.

Mr. Kirby died Monday, November 3, 2008 at a local nursing home. He was born December 16, 1925 at Doyle, Tennessee to John and Emma Kirby. He attended Oklahoma schools.

He married Mildred Butterfield on July 1, 1954. Mr. Kirby was a tool crib operator for Boeing Aircraft until his retirement. He was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church and had served in the U. S. Navy during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred Kirby, of the home; two daughters, Louise Terrell and husband Kevin, Ada, and Linda Kirby and Ron Heathcock, Anaheim, California; six grandchildren, Patrick MacArthur, Kristi Dowis, Tiffany Terrell, Jason Kishaba, Ronnie Heathcock, and Daniel Heathcock; two great grandchildren, Destiny MacArthur and Jason Kishaba, Jr; and one brother, Jim Kirby, Oregon.

Bearers will be Adrian Hey, Robert McMillian, Bill Smith, Jimmy Sanders, Marcus Boswell, and Otis Welch. Honorary bearers will be Wesley Walker and Dale Burrows.
