VALERIE BEAL
ADA-Services for Valerie Kay Beal, 60, Ada, are 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the St. James Church of God in Christ, Elder Charles Miller will officiate. Burial will follow at Athens Cemetery.
Ms. Beal died Friday, March 11, 2011 at a local hospital. She was born July 3, 1950 in Ada, Oklahoma to James Chester (J.C.) and Ruby Richardson Beal. She was the second oldest of the daughters born to this union. She received her early schooling at Napier school. She attended Philemon Baptist Church and accepted Christ at an early age.
In 1969, Valerie moved from Ada to Kansas City, MO. In Kansas City she worked as a certified nursing assistant and medical technician for Paseo Nursing Home. She retired and returned to Ada in 2006 to care for her sister Ruby.
Survivors include three sons, Wesley Wright and Karen, Ada, and his father, Frank James Wright of Ada; twin sons, Eric Beal and Danetra, Kansas City, MO and Ezekiel Beal of Kansas City, MO; five sisters, Ruby Marie Brown, Ada, Valasko Harris, Arhonda Holt and Glenda Archibald, all of Kansas City, MO, and Denise Harris, Ada; one brother, Walter Jack Fry and Roxanne, Kansas City, MO; two step-brothers, L. V. McKinney and Ruthie and R. C. McKinney and Gerry of Madill; twelve grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one aunt, Rhittie Gettone and Vernon, Columbia, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Verdel Beal; her step-mother, Dorthy (Jackie) McKinney-Beal; and the father of Eric and Ezekiel, Ezekiel Newell.
