HAZEL ALLEN

ADA-Services for Vada "Hazel" Allen, 82, Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Ray Talbot will officiate. Burial will follow at Box X Cemetery.

Mrs. Allen died Thursday, December 27, 2007 at a local nursing home. She was born January 4, 1925 at Bebee, Oklahoma to John and Mable (Cape) Mahan. She came to this area from Oklahoma City.

She married A.J. Allen in 1947 at Ada. He died in 1978 at Oklahoma City. She worked as a homemaker and housewife.

Survivors include one brother, J.G. Mahan and his wife, Checotah; two daughters, JoAnn Parks and Crystal Price, both of Ada; three grandchildren, Starla Sweeney and husband Mike, Ada, Glenn Parks and wife Heather, Ada, and Aaron Allen, OKC; five great grandchildren, Brittany Sweeney, Star Sweeney, Summer Sweeney, Zane Parks and Hevyn Parks, all of Ada; nine nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; and many great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mable Mahan; her husband, A.J. Allen; one brother, Lindel Mahan; and two sisters, Elizabeth (Shortie) Hilton and Dortha Davis.

Bearers will be Glen Parks, Mike Sweeney, Shane Johnson, Randall Brown, Dwight Johnson and Tony Brewer.
