Toy Nix

Services for Toy Lee Nix, 73, of Gerty are 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 6, 2023 at Richmond Avenue Free Will Baptist Church, Rev. Bobby Briggs will officiate.  Burial will follow at Oakman Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends Sunday, March 5, 2023 from 4 to 8:00 p.m. at the Criswell Chapel in Allen.

Mr. Nix passed away March 2, 2023 in Norman.  He was born June 29, 1949 in Holdenville, OK to Chester Glennis and Willie Louise Wallace Nix.  He worked as a Fireman for the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant and was a self-employed roofer.

Mr. Nix is survived by his son, Ashley James, of Midwest City; two daughters, Tammy Gutierrez and husband Ambrosio, of Ada, and LaDonna Nix, of Allen; one sister, Jennifer Hamilton, of Gerty; one foster brother, Buddy Blevins, of Enid; five grandchildren, Jordan Gutierrez, Larry Lee Nix, Araceli Gutierrez, Brantley Nix and Timber Nix; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Troy Nix; and his twin brother, Roy D. Nix.
