Services for Towanda Jo Clifton, 74, of Purcell will be held at a later date.  Mrs. Clifton passed away Friday, December 15, 2023 in Purcell.  She was born August 13, 1949 in Ada to Paul George and Jessie Lee Hokett Canida.

Mrs. Clifton was a Licensed Practical Nurse for over 40 years.  She worked in various hospitals and in home health.

She is survived by her two sons, Bryan Whitley and Lee Michael Whitley and wife Cindy; her mother, Jessie Canida; two sisters, Paula Sturdevant and husband Clint and Shonnie Swales and husband Richard; and six grandchildren, Jorden Whitley, Courtney Whitley, Zachary Whitley, Kylee Whitlee, Shelby Lee and husband Dustin, and Johnathon Vodicka.

Mrs. Clifton was preceded in death by her father, Paul Canida; and husband, Eddie Whitley.
