CHARLIE McFERRAN

DURANT-Services for Tommy Charles "Charlie" McFerran, 51, Durant, formerly of Allen, are 10:00 A.M. Thursday at the Allen Church of Christ, Danny Stewart and Jim Corley will officiate. Burial follows at the Allen Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Criswell Chapel in Allen from 4:00 P.M. Wednesday until service time.

Mr. McFerran died on Monday, September 12, 2011, at a Denison, Texas hospital. He was born January 2, 1960, in Oklahoma City to Tommy and Charlene Harrington McFerran. He graduated from Allen High School in 1978 and worked for the Missouri Pacific and Union Pacific Railroad for 24 years. He moved to the Durant area 21 years ago. He was a member of the University Avenue Church of Christ in Durant.

He married LaDonna Huddleston on March 2, 1990, in Durant..

Survivors include his wife, LaDonna McFerran, of the home; one son, Matthew McFerran and his wife Amanda, Durant; one daughter, Cara McFerran and grandson Rylan, Durant; father and step-mother, Tommy and Sue McFerran, Atwood; one sister, Angela Budzinsky and her husband Joe, McAlester; one brother, Jeff McFerran and his wife Donna, Henryetta; and many other relatives and friends in the Atwood-Allen area. He was preceded in death by his mother, Charlene McFerran.

Bearers are Roger Merriman, Gary Don Howard, Kenny Nickell, Jesse Nickell, Bobby Harrington and Gibb Hardesty. Honorary bearers are Norman Spencer, Curtis Kitchens, Jeff Huddleston, Bill Russell, Johnny Sheppard, John Webb, and Benny Bennett.
