LITTLE ELM, TX-Graveside services for Tommie Abbott Walker, 75, Little Elm, Texas, formerly of Byng, are 10 a.m. Tuesday at Memorial Park Cemetery, Zac Christian will officiate. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Walker died Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, at her home. She was born Aug. 18, 1937, to Noah Thomas and Willie Smith Abbott near Byng. She graduated from Byng High School. She was a legal secretary for many years and later was a loan officer for City Finance Company.
She and Wyndell LaKeith Walker were married in January 1971. He died Sept. 19, 2005.
Survivors include one daughter, Cindy Galemore, Freedom, Oklahoma; four sons, Mike Canada and wife Penny, Byng, Eddie Canada and wife Brenda, Topeka, Kansas, Wyndell LaKeith Walker Jr. and partner Brian Faurot-Walker, Little Elm, and Ross Galemore Jr., Byng; one sister Irene Broyles, Humboldt, Kansas; eight grandchildren, Amy Canada, Amber Galemore, Miranda Galemore, Noah Canada, Maelyn Canada, Michael Canada, Wyndell Canada and Dakota Canada; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Lonnie Abbott.
Honorary bearers are Evan Martin, Eric Martin, Willie Hoskin, Keith Allred, Ross Galemore and Joe Tingle.
