TOMMIE JOHNSON

OCEANSIDE, CALIFORNIA-Services for Tommie Lee Johnson, 81, Oceanside, California, formerly of Stonewall, are 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Alvie Jack and Allen Cottman will officiate. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Stonewall. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mr. Johnson died Thursday, December 20, 2007 at Oceanside, California. He was born February 17, 1926 in Seminole County, Oklahoma to George and Mary Woods Johnson. He lived most of his life in the Lula area.

He married Gladys Gift in July,1951 in Denton, Texas. She died February, 1990. Mr. Johnson was a farmer and rancher, and did custom hay baling for many in the area. He was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and attended the Ada, Oklahoma and Oceanside, California congregations.

Survivors include two sons, Larry Johnson and wife Dana, Stonewall, and Ricky Johnson and wife Tammi, Ada; two daughters, Carolyn Johnson, Oceanside, California, and Cindy Johnson-Shelton and husband Jerald, Oceanside, California; five step-sons, Buddy Rogers, Robert Rogers, Leonard Rogers, Norman Joe Rogers, and Jimmy Rodgers; two step-daughters, George Ann Rogers and Francis Davis; two grandchildren of the home, Tia Shay Johnson and Dante Johnson, Oceanside, California; seven other grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mary Johnson; his wife, Gladys Johnson; two brothers, Joe Johnson and Dillard Johnson; five sisters, Lou Ella Alexander, Dora Colbert, Dimple Finley, Grace Richardson, and Nora Colbert; two infant daughters, Linda and Belinda Johnson; and one granddaughter, Kiersten Johnson.

Bearers will be Rhyan Johnson, Kevin Jack, Richard Little, Carl Moore, Gary Hamilton, and Caleb Roland. Honorary bearers will be Elmo Hamilton, Dodson Brown, Robert Rogers, Freeland Colbert, and Glen Roland.
