ADA-Services for Timothy Gene Cox, 86, Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Kendall Martin will officiate. Burial will follow at Maxwell Cemetery.
Mr. Cox died Monday, January 24, 2011 at a local nursing home. He was born August 24, 1924 at Maxwell, Oklahoma to Marshall Crawford Cox, Sr. and Sarah Ann Birchfield Cox. He attended Maxwell school.
He married Pat Hayes. She died on July 11, 2008. Mr. Cox was a foreman for McCoy Tree Surgery until his retirement.
Survivors include two daughters, Sheila Dorgan and husband Howard, Wayne, and Lynda Ardrey and husband Ray, Mill Creek; two sons, Donald Ray Henson, Ada, and Glenn Henson, Pontotoc; two sisters-in-law, Phyllis D. Hayes, Ada, and Betty Bobo, Ft. Worth, TX; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, M. C. Cox and Dewey Cox; two sisters, Audie Pinley and Sadie Watts; and one granddaughter, Kayla Henson.
Bearers will be J. R. Tarr, Timothy Dorgan, Donnie Henson, Glenn Henson and Howard Dorgan. Honorary bearers will be Jake Ardrey, Buddy Tarr, Bied Watson, Ray Ardrey, Rob Thomas and Dustin Wheeler.
