Thurman Carpenter

Services for Thurman Gene Carpenter, 52, Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 8, 2020 at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Randy Wade will officiate. Burial will follow at Seely Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mr. Carpenter passed away Saturday, October 3, 2020 at his home. He was born January 31, 1968 at Lawton to Cimmon Carpenter and Dorothy Hamilton Alberson. He was a lifelong resident of the Ada area, attended Francis Grade School and Byng High School.

Mr. Carpenter was a Sandblaster for Unium Corporation in Roff. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing pool and riding motorcycles.

Survivors include a son, Christopher Carpenter, Ada; daughter, Thalia Carpenter, Ada; sister, Arnetta Miller and husband Sheldon, Ada; brother, Hagen Alberson, Ada; his best-friend, Wesley Wright and wife Kendra, Ada; cousin, Darrell Hamilton, Wanette; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David Carpenter; sisters, Lorraine Poe and Marlene Hamilton; nephew, Antonio Hamilton; and niece, Alexa Millican.

Bearers will be Arnetta Miller, Darrell Hamilton, Michael Carpenter, Jason Carpenter, Tim Poe and Benny John. Honorary bearer will be Sheldon Miller.
