TOM YARBRO
LINDEN, TX-Services for Thomas Graham Yarbro, 74, Linden, Texas, formerly of Ada, Oklahoma, are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. Burial follows at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will have a memorial service for Mr. Yarbro at the First Baptist North Mobile Church in Saraland, Alabama on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 4:00 p.m.
Mr. Yarbro died March 18, 2011, at nursing center at Spring, Texas. He was born August 23, 1936, in Dallas, Texas, and was adopted by Milton and Sally Mae Graham Yarbro in Ada. He attended grade school and high school in Ada and went on to graduate from the University of Oklahoma in 1959. Tom had lived in Satsuma, Alabama, near Mobile and at their ranch in East Texas for several years. He was a general contractor, building church buildings across America. He used his skill as an airplane pilot to minister to churches and families. Tom was an Eagle Scout and continued his scouting legacy as Scoutmaster for many years in Oklahoma City.
His first wife, Wilma Jo Copple Yarbro, preceded him in death in 2000.
He is survived by his wife, Janeice Yarbro, of the home; his and Jo's children, Kelly Yarbro, Jean Yarbro, Graham Yarbro and his wife Melinda and their son Alex, and Liz Yarbro Hays and her spouse Jeff and their children Jesse and Casey; his step-children Jana Sims and her husband Chad and their children Grant and Cara, as well as his step-daughter Julie Sanchez and her husband Edger and their children Audrey and Adelle.
