Thomas Tinsley

Graveside services for Thomas Hardy Tinsley, 90, of Allen will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 29, 2017 at the Allen Cemetery, Rev. Chad Kaminski will officiate.  Friends and relatives may call, at the Criswell Chapel in Allen, from noon Friday until services time.

Mr. Tinsley died Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at an Oklahoma City Hospice House. He was born June 18, 1927 in Ratcliff, TX to Warren Alvis and Willie Kelley Tinsley.

He married Roberta "Susie" Bishop on December 21, 1947. She preceded him in death on October 11, 2004.  Mr. Tinsley served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.  He retired from being a Seismographic Driller.

Survivors include one daughter, Rhonda Skelton and husband Larry; three sons, Alvis Tinsley and wife Mary, Tom Tinsley and wife Kathy, and Vaughn Tinsley; one brother, Jerry Sam Tinsley of Oklahoma City area; one sister, Maxine Helekson of New Mexico; thirteen grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren, and 2 great great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Susie, and daughter, Carolyn LaVaughn Tinsley, twin of Vaughn Tinsley.

Bearers will be Warren Tinsley, Brandon Tinsley, Wade Tinsley, Tiger Ortiz, Hunter Ortiz, Grayson Ortiz and Trey Claire. Honorary bearers will be Waylon Lane, Richard Tracey and Donnie Skelton.
