TED SIMS
ALLEN-Services for Theodore Wayne "Ted" Sims, 46, of Allen are 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Church of God of Prophecy in Allen, Rev. Ed Rutherford will officiate. Burial will follow at the Calvin Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Allen Chapel from 3:00 p.m. Thursday until service time.
Mr. Sims died Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at his home. He was born January 18, 1967 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Donald R. and Linda Nolen Sims. He attended grade school in Calvin and graduated from Allen High School.
Mr. Sims was a self-employed vendor. He sold beef jerky for Don's Lazy S Jerky.
Survivors include a daughter, Lacey Mowdy and her husband Clint of Coalgate; three sons, Hunter Sims, Ada, Austin Sims, Texas and Tanner Sims of Allen; his father, Donald R. Sims and his wife Flossie of Allen; his mother, Linda Trinkle of Allen; a brother, Donald R. Sims, Jr. of Allen; sister, Melinda Haney of Allen; a granddaughter, Tresley Mowdy of Coalgate; grandson, Ayden Sims of Ada; two step-brothers, Richard Gyer and Kelly Bohanan, both of Allen; and a step-sister, Jennifer Frederick of Atwood.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Darrell Edward Sims.
Bearers will be Paul Goodman, Jerry Ford, Tommy Peay, Bruce Williams, Kevin McCormick and Martin Hackney. Honorary bearers will be Dewayne Darby, Clint Mowdy and Clayton Hackney.
