Thelma Walkup

Services for Thelma Jean Walkup, 88, of Tupelo are 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Tupelo

First Baptist Church, Wendell Ingram will officiate. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove

Cemetery, near Stonewall. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday

at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Walkup passed away Sunday, February 18, 2018 at an Ada hospital. She was

born February 1, 1930 at Tupelo to Allen Grady and Annie Belle Angel Ingram.

She married Richard Murray Walkup September 25, 1954. He preceded her in death

March 29, 2007 at Stonewall. Mrs. Walkup was a homemaker and attended the Tupelo

Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children, David Walkup, Gary Walkup and wife Kate, Steven

Walkup and Judy Gonser, all of Tupelo and Ron Walkup, Ada; two brothers, Bobby

Ingram and wife Edna, Tupelo and James Ingram, Washington, OK; a sister, Betty

Reed and husband Kenneth, Campbell, TX; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren;

many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and siblings, LeAllen, Hank,

Leroy, Allen, Harrison, Odetta and Melba.

Bearers will be Steven Walkup Jr, Richard Walkup, Tyler Walkup, Rodger Walkup,

Trent Walkup and Trevor Walkup.
