THELMA CRAWFORD
EDMOND-Services for Thelma Crawford, 93, of Edmond, formerly of Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at The River Church, Rev. Bob Walker will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mrs. Crawford died Friday, November 15, 2013 at an Oklahoma City hospital. She was born October 11, 1920 in Dardanelle, Arkansas to Jasper H. and Julie Jane Freeman Houtchens. She and her family moved to this area in 1921 and she attended Center and Oakman grade schools.
She married Elmer Glenn Crawford on January 11, 1936 in Konawa, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on October 8, 1995 in Ada. Mrs. Crawford was a homemaker and a longtime member of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Janice Martin and her husband Rev. Ralph Ray of Barrington Hills, IL, and Lateresa Crawford of Edmond, OK; a son, Gerald Crawford and his wife Lena of Van Buren, AR; 5 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a granddaughter, Darla Martin, her parents, and her 10 brothers and sisters.
Bearers will be David Martin, Philip Crawford, Eddie Crawford, Glenn Crawford, Stephen Hall and Bob Mossman.
