Terri Curry

A memorial service for Terri Curry will be held on Friday, June 3 at 10:30 AM at First Presbyterian Church in Ada, OK. Claude "Buddy" Baltimore will be officiating.

Terri Nan Curry, 66, passed away suddenly on May 18, 2022. She was born in Ada, OK on November 19, 1955, to Wendell and Margaret Wilma Thomas. She was raised in Ada,Oklahoma. After graduating Ada High School in 1973, she attended college at East Central University. She earned a bachelor's degree in Education, but loved working at ECU so much, she never left.

Terri worked in several capacities at the University, including being the administrative assistant to multiple Deans of Education. She worked at ECU her entire professional career, where she touched many lives and made lifelong friends with both students and coworkers. She retired in May of 2020.

Terri made her love for animals well known. There was rarely a point in her life when she didn't have a pet. She cherished living at the Coyote Trail Compound around the people she loved and knew as family, with her dogs, Chanbe and Bently, and later with her cat, Lucy. She resided there until August of 2020 when she moved to Broken Arrow to be closer to and help with her kids and grandkids, whom she absolutely adored. She spent the last two years being the most amazing "Bobbo '' her grandbabies could ask for.

Terri was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Ada for many years.

Terri is preceded in death by her mother, father, one brother, David Thomas. She is survived by the father of her children, Lary Curry of Broken Arrow, her son, Zach Curry of Tulsa, her daughter, Megan and husband Mike Whitmer of Broken Arrow, three grandchildren, Koen Curry, Kodi, and Tayte Whitmer.

Heaven just keeps getting sweeter.
